Have you had a heart attack in the last 30 days?
You could be eligible to participate in the COLCOT clinical trial.
We are conducting an academic international clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy of an experimental colchicine dosage in reducing the rate of recurrent cardiovascular events like a heart attack.
Colchicine is an anti-inflammatory drug extracted from Autumn crocus plants and it has been used for many years to treat conditions such as gout. Colchicine has not been approved for the treatment of cardiovascular events.
- Involves a daily intake of the study drug (colchicine or placebo);
- Minimum participation of 2 years;
- Regular study-related medical follow-up of participants.
For more information or to take part in the trial, talk to your doctor and contact Coleen Kelly at 902-529-1525 or visit us at: www.colcot.org.
